The Breakers finished the 2009 season 6-2 and took 2nd at the conference meet at the O'Fallon Pool. It was another excellent turnout and a great season. Banquent information and conference results will be posted soon!

Founded in 1988, the O’Fallon (Illinois) Breakers is a
summer-only swim team open to O’Fallon-area children 5 to 18 years of age. The
team’s purpose is to provide a competitive summer swim program for the youth of
O’Fallon – while stressing teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun. Click here
for swimmer ability requirements by age group. The Breakers participate in the
nine-team Midwest Swim Conference, finishing second at the 2008 Conference Meet.

Click here for the complete 2009 Breakers meet schedule. In
general, the annual mock meet is Thursday, June 11 followed by our first “real”
meet on Tuesday, June 16 at Scott against the Sharks. The dual meet schedule
concludes on Tuesday, July 14 at Westhaven – unless a rain cancellation requires
a makeup. The Midwest Swim Conference Meet is Saturday, July 25 at the O’Fallon
pool.

We have reviewed all available OFFICIAL meet results and
compiled team records. These records are and will continue to be measured in
meters only – consistent with the O’Fallon Community Pool and home of the
Breakers. Results will be monitored from this point forward and official records
will be updated accordingly after each meet (again, applicable to meter pools
only).

Head Coach Kim Kurtz returns for her second season as Head
Coach, capping off her inaugural season by guiding the squad to a second-place
team finish at the 2008 Midwest Swim Conference Meet. Returning as veteran
Assistant Coaches are Mike Taylor and Lindsey Argus. New to the 2009 staff will
be Assistant Coach Mary Peterson – a 12 year veteran of the Breakers as a
swimmer and current member of the Asbury College Swim Team.
