The Breakers summer swim team will begin with Dual meets mid-June and are generally Tuesday and Thursday evenings through mid-July. The season concludes with the Midwest Conference Meet on July 23. Kim Kurtz returns for her fourth season as Head Coach, having guided the team to second-place Conference Meet finishes in each of her first three seasons. Founded in 1988, the O’Fallon (Illinois) Breakers is a
summer-only swim team open to O’Fallon-area children 5 to 18 years of age. The
team’s purpose is to provide a competitive summer swim program for the youth of
O’Fallon – while stressing teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun. Click here

nine-team Midwest Swim Conference.

The 2011 schedule is posted at the bottom of the home page. You can also click the link below or find it under the Schedule Menu option at the top. Practice starts the morning of June 6. The Mock Meet and team pictures are the evening of June 14. Regular dual meets start June 16. The Midwest Conference Meet is scheduled for Saturday, July 23.

Team age-group records are posted on the site and updated after each applicable meet. These records are measured in meters only - consistent with the O'Fallon Community (25-meter) Pool and home of the Breakers. New milestones achieved at other meter pools in the Conference (Highland, Freeburg and Scott AFB) also qualify.

Coach Kim Kurtz returns for her fourth season as Head Coach. Kim also is coach of the O'Fallon Township High School boys and girls swim teams. Mary Peterson returns for ther third season as an assistant. Stephen Dean returns for his second season as an assistant while Brandon Grammer will make his coaching debut. All assistants swam in the Breakers program in the past and several possess collegiate swim experience.
